I grew up surrounded by nature, swimming and fishing in the lakes of Minnesota. Early on, ceramics became my passion, a way to explore forms, color and movement. In Seattle, I was an Artist in Residence at Pottery Northwest, where I investigated pushing materials and their properties. Recently, back in Kansas City, combining botanical images and current technical methods, my art form expanded into 2D mixed media.
