Kēvin Callahan, Artist, Poet and Author. is a multimedia artist in acrylic, watercolor, wood, and photography. Whether painting portraits, jazz musicians, landscapes, idyllic country barns, or poking fun at himself in a series of self-portraits, Kevin always brings a smile to those viewing his works.
He received a BFA from Drake University and did post-graduate work at San Francisco Art Institute, The Ox-Bow School, and The Art Institute of Chicago. His Neo-Pop Modern portraits and paintings are in collections throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Israel. Kēvin’s philosophy is simple: Composition, Story, Elegant Line. He maintains a studio and gallery, “The Elegant Line,” in Parkville, MO. His first book of Poems “Road Map: Poems, Paintings & Stuff” was released by Flying Ketchup Press in August 2019.
